End of year Regional Points Totals as posted on ARMA site
« on: October 09, 2008, 11:06:58 AM »
A HUGE congratulations to all of the 2008 regional champions!!! Close racing in many classes forced tie breaking measures to be used to decided several finishing positions. The top five positions in each class, in each region are listed below. The points spreadsheet is has also been updated (even though it doesn't have the correct date on the page). The computer didn't quite understand the "tie breaking rules", so some rankings on the spreadsheet look different than the results below.

These racers will bring with them points based upon their final ranking for the year. (400 for first, 350 for second, 300 for third, 250 for fourth, and 200 for fifth) These points will be combined with their points for the race held on October 25th at E.C. Distributing. Final points at the end of that day will determine the overall champion, second and third place winners for each class for the 2008 racing season. The top five racers in each northeast and southeast regional class will draw for the first ten positions on the starting grid for that class. Other drivers competing in the race on the 25th will draw for the remaining starting spots. Trophies for the day's racing will be handed out, just as they would for any other race. Following the racing action for the day, and dinner, awards will be handed out to honor our champions, second and third place winners in each regional class, and our overall class champions, second and third place winners. We are looking forward to a great final race to celebrate the end of a spectacular racing season!! As always, please email me at stmowtivator@comcast.net if you have any questions!
