18 HP opposed Carb. Question...
« on: September 27, 2008, 01:01:14 pm »
I dont know the model numbers for this mower, first off. But the carb has the pump directly on the face of it. As you are looking back from the front of it. The fuel line and suction line hook up to it this...(PICTURE)   The gas line is hooked up to the left side and the breather thing to the bottom. It was like this wen i got it. My question is is this the right way for it to be hooked up. Because y would they cross the lines?   (the gas line is coming from the tank to the right off the pump and picture) breather (suction) from the left off of motor

Yes, that is the right way.
The thing you drew is a fuel pump.
The suction hose that goes to the motor is connected to the pump via a diaphram inside, because it relies on the suction to pull the fuel from the tank if it is mounted below the engine.
