I was wondering if someone could tell me if the crank, rod, flywheel, and cam in a 10hp tec. horizontal engine will work in a vertical block 10hp tec.

Some cranks will depending on journal size.  Rod will normally.  Cam---no way---been there tried that.
Flywheel will if taper diameter is the same.  Hope this helps.

it does but disappointing. just had a guy give me his 10hp motor off of his racing kart. it has just been freshened up. thanks for replying

what was the problem with the cam?
the 10hp "star/racing" engine has a straight cut gear..yours is heli-cut.

To the best of my memory, when I tried to use the cam the length of the came is shorter than the vertical.
