BSMRA at the Door County Fair
« on: August 03, 2008, 02:45:54 PM »
BSMRA will be at the historic Door County Fair on July 9. Qualifying at 6:30, races immediately after. Fair Board mambers told me they're having great feed-back on the mower races, and are expecting a full grandstand.

Door County (Sturgeon Bay, WI) is one of the most scenic areas in the entire U.S. Green Bay on one side of the Peninsula, Lake Michigan on the other. There's plenty to do and see (besides the fabulous racers of the BSMRA), so come on up and make a weekend of it.

Yes August 9th.
Just heads up to anyone coming, if your pulling a trailer don't use the downtown bridge, there is a cop at each end of it enforcing a 5 ton rule including no trailers. The highway bridge is a more direct route to the fair grounds anyway so it shouldn't be a big inconvenience for anyone.

Here's the schedule for the BSMRA race this Saturday, Aug. 9th at the Door County Fair:

Registration and Tech: 2:00- 5:00

Practice: 5:00- 6:00

Drivers Meeting : 6:15

Qualifying: 6:30

Racing:7:00

I spoke to the head track groomer and was told that they NEVER have dust, and they've got all the equipment needed to keep things smooth and fast. Door County has regular Saturday night IMCA mod races, so these guys know how to prep a track.

Another fabulous Badger State event!  Great racing in all classes and with terrific show of sportsmanship, character and support by all involved.  That is what lawnmower racing is about.  Which we are honored to be involved.  Thanks to everyone for helping to make all of this possible!  We hope all who were in attendance had as much fun as we did.  Hope to see everyone next weekend at GSR on the 17th.

Dang, Ty, you're right. What a group of racers. I never had so much fun, saw such good racing, or laughed so hard after the races than I did this past Saturday. The Fair Board agrees, and we are a go for next year, too.

Thanks to the Singsimes, Klimpkes, and all who helped make this our best race yet.

Now it's off to GSR...............
