Unless you put a stronger rod in it leave it alone. It will break very quickly. Those engines have rods intended for mowing at I think around 3200 governed speed.

It either has to be made custom or have a machine shop and you look for other rod and piston combos that will work in your engine with a little machine work.

Would it be better to replace with a kohler?

Yes, you can buy anything you want for a Kohler motor for tractor pulling use. Makes bulding a engine easier when you don't have to make everything.

OH you better not do that!!! You'll get scolded!!!
Maybe you need to learn how to spell before you talk down to old people.

I believe you were trying to spell "BUDGET" not "nudget"  and I also believe you were trying to spell "YOU" not "U".

I know you learned in school that when you use the word "I" in a sentence that its supposed to be capitalized, along with the words that you use to start a sentence.

Capitalization and correct grammar will go a long ways to help you make your point.

But for real, we try to refrain from using text lingo on here, Just makes it easier to read for the older guys, including myself!

I apologize for my new age lingo.I was just havin a little fun.
I have Two (not 2) more quick Questions.

1.What kind of price tag would a custom made rod carry on it?
2.Are There any timing corrections that can give me anymore torque?

Thank you for your patience and time for reading this.

you are going to be in the hundreds range, (my offhand guess would be three or more)  for a custom made rod.  I would find an old k series kohler and build it.  Ready built parts, and if you hang a rod in it, just another hundred and some, not another 300 plus.

well i can tell you there is a very good reason that pullers run flathead kohlers.  They are a lot lot lot tougher than a briggs for a puller motor.  Even if you are going to go with a twin the guys still run commands (which is a kohler motor).  Kohlers are the motor of choice for pulling and i will run nothing besides a kohler on my commercial mowing equipment.  I am a die hard Kohler fan if you cant tell, but i am going to run a briggs on my racer because that is what is competitive.

HAHA and i didnt see the rest of your post but that is funny.  I took the muffler off of my pickup and i gained at least 33, maybe 34 horse.
