4th of July race
« on: June 26, 2008, 06:22:04 pm »
A race will be held on the 4th of July in Stoneville NC at the Stoneville park. It will cost nothing to race and trophies will be handed out to winners. We will be racing in the out field of a baseball park. The race will start at 4PM and sign up will be at 12PM.

We don't know as of yet what classed will be running. ALL MOWERS OF ALL RULES,CLASS, AND BUILD WILL RACE!!! We will turn NO mower down.

I am trying to get Lawn mower racing started where I live and I would love nothing more than to have some mowers show up to race. The whole town and most of the county will show up to the celebration.

I hate to sound dispirit but I am. PLEASE COME TO RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!   You can see whare stoneville is by the link below:

Running the same deal here in PA on July 3rd. 4 classes. Gonna run time trials to class also. We also will turn no one down except for the following condition, IT MUST BE SAFE, WITH WORKING BRAKES AND RIDER MUST WEAR SAFTEY GEAR.

Gentlemen awful short notice to try and get racer at the last minute ON a Holiday genrally spent with the family...

Do you have insurance in place for the events. Liabilty and driver... Do you have track materials lined up, Safety barriers and spectaors areas secured, ambulance or emt lined up to be on site during the race, is there plans for any of this or is your plan hey everyone show up and race... Lots of planning and details that have to be in place and taken care of leading up to this time. And you are trying to pull off a race in a weeks time on a holiday!!! Keep that inmind... I would rather NOT do a race than have a bad race.... I been doing this since 97. And it takes longer to recover from a bad experiance than you can imagine.

All that taken care of here. Thanks in part to the local fire department hosting and staffing. 2nd year for our race, Posted it on here under non affiliated several weeks ago. Have plenty of racers pre registered, but more are certainly welcome.                                                                                                                                                                                                           The point i was trying to make is: It's great that all machines are welcome and in the sake of fun and competition every one gets a chance to race at an event, regardless of class However make sure they are safe machines and the crowd and officials are protected
