« on: May 30, 2008, 02:17:17 am »
I am running the avs pistion short skirt. I need new rings but dont know the part number. It is the 28  piston but the top two rings are really thin. The number in the piston is 83076 j  .   I was just wondering if anyone knew the briggs part number. Thanks for any help.

I dont have the model number for the engine that the piston came out of. I am running the ohv crank with avs rod and short skirt piston. I need the part number for the rings. The top two rings are thin. Thanks

Just as cheap to buy a new piston assy. Sounds like you have an early model piston, and without the model will be hard to get rings since they are no longer made.

What would the part number be for the new piston assy. I used to run the 28 piston with a arc rod in my good motor. But i had it bored out to 31. Im building a backup motor with the avs rod and was trying to use my old 28 piston and just get new rings. Thanks
