Garden tractor pics
« on: May 29, 2008, 04:21:41 pm »
Here is a few pics of my pulling tractor. It is a 682 IH which began life with a hydrostatic tranny. I built a 4 speed IH tranny and put this in when the tractor was built. It is now on its third motor, and this one is 3 years old. I have some close ups of the engine compartment and other goodies if anyone wants to see them.(providing I can get these to work LOL).

If you were to buy the parts and do the work yourself (engine, tranny, frame, paint, etc.) you could expect to spend between $4-$6.5k. I have talked to guys that had their engines and tranny built professionally and they would spend between $8-$12k on a complete tractor.

I built my stock class puller last year and had about $1500 in it.. I actually have less in my circle track mower... and it's twice as fun...
