Welllll, yeah I was a little ,mostly when it was implied I was unable to determine material thickness, seeing as I am a machinist I guess I took that a little personal.
but i am over all that now, no hard feelings any one. nobody wants to hear that they're Idea just aint gonna work, or that the  work they have done is wasted time. But it's all part of learning.

I really am thankful for the help, and concern for my safety.

As far as the track rules, if they won't allow a fabricated axle, using L spindles, then I will try explaining that their rules are not the safest and try to get them to change.

As I said, back to the drawing board....

And again, no hard feelings

I have the same issues with my racing club. I have tried and tried to no avail...I will keep trying. I don't agree with them, but if I want to race I have to abide by them.

Trust me.. this is my first year too.. and had many people ask " why the heck did you do it that way?"... and they ended up being right and I ended cutting some stuff off and redoing it...

The key is not to take it personally... I had a hard time the first couple times... now I come here first before i make changes to see what everyone else is doing...

Arggggggggggggh, hate admitting I was wrong...and right lol.
OK OK OK OK, wasnt 3/16 material, only 1/8....I don't know how, must've been a really late night.
But still yet, the way this axle is made, it is stronger than tubing. Have shown it to the engineers, all agree, better than tube.

Flyinb found another one in his pile-o-mower stuff, built close to same, is a strong piece.
The only thing I don't like is the lack of spindle bearings.

Fact is, the tracks we will be running at require "stock axles", so we have no choice.

Thanks for all the help.
