Im about to order a arc rod stock length and was wondering will my stock piston in my 28ci motor fit or do i have to purchase the arc 28ci piston? Like to know before  i order cause im looking to find a non avs 31ci block soon and do not want to have to buy both a 28 and 31 ci piston.

When the 28 is bored and sleeved to a 31, there's only about 1/8" left in some areas.  If you need proof on what George says, I have a two piece jug for show and tell.

   can a 31 be bored and sleeved to take the 33 piston?   Just wondering if it will or will a 33  upper block half have to be ordered at about $170 ?    Thanks   johnboy
