Carb problem
« on: May 08, 2008, 10:24:52 pm »
I just got a stock 14hp vtwin going, but it only runs on full choke. I don't really have any experience with these carbs, so could someone help me out? I tried changing the main jet on top, but either way I turned it, it just got worse.

I replaced the electric shutoff with a nut from another carb, so I guess I'lll try cleaning it some more. The only problem is that the brass shaft that goes through the whole center is stuck in there really tight, and I pretty much stripped it trying to get it out before.

That's the thing, I have to get it going in the next couple weeks, and ebay never has them anyway, so I'll see if I can make do with what I've got. Thanks for the help!
