14hp vanguard

is it a good motor for racing? i have a chance to get one for about $100. what cube are they? how high to they turn?

If it's a Vtwin, it will be a 30 cubic inch

They are a good motor. ;)  It should be a 290777 or 294777, Maybe 30 cubic inch.
If put together right you will be happy. :)
Just remember you need a good chassis first. Steering and brakes first. you need to steer and stop.
SAFETY first!!!!

I hope you and your friends are wearing helmets and have kill switches. Vanny is not something to just play with. Please tell me you don't have stock steering and you have good brakes.
You can get hurt badly. I am just looking out for you and your friends well being.
Where are located? I am shure we can find you a local group. Build to a a certain class. I would say start with a 12 hp. Single first.  You need steering and brakes first. Look at the build area on this site.
Safety should be first. You may hear this alot,but these things are not toys.
Like I said I am just looking out for your safety.
