Where would one find a 1" I.D. hub for a golf cart wheel? I know a guy that will let me have a pair of golf cart wheels. Also how much do they cost compaired to switching to the 1 1/4" molly tube axle + buying all of the associated parts? I have the 1" axle, bearings and sprocket. Just have to get some brakes. I'm still in the gathering up parts stage and these were free so I picked 'em up. I guess what I'm asking is, will I be futher ahead by picking up the 1 1/4" crome molly axel, bearings, sprocket & hubs, then getting some aluminum rear rims? Keep in mind this is my first racer. Thanx in advance.

I found acmemotorsports.com they have steel and aluminum hubs for the 1" axle. Now my question is this, Will I feel any difference between the steel one comapired to the aluminum ones? Thank you guys, sorry for the dumb question above. I'm still learning.

At this point in your racing career it is very unlikely you would be able to "feel" the difference...

There will be many other factors drawing your attention (and money) to increase power and reliability and improve handling (which will have "noticeable" effects on speed) before you can feel the rotational mass difference of the lighter (more expensive) parts...
