PALMRA's schedule has been posted on WWW.PALMRA.COM

We have lost two tracks but gained the Carlisle shows.  One of those tracks being Steam-O-Rama, who hosted our test and tune.  There are two other places tossing the idea around of picking up this event for us.  Keep checking the schedule page for this information.  As soon as we know you will know.

The schedule still may change and times will be sent as we get them.

Just a reminder, PALMRA does not charge the racers to race.  Keeping this in mind, the racer is only permitted to have one "crew member" in the pit area.  This one crew member is also permitted in the pit area at no cost, however, everyone in the pit area must be registered, and have an arm band.  ALL others in the pit area will be charged $5.00.  So please, before you unload your mower, have everyone that plans on staying in the pit area register.

Again, as soon as we get a confirmation on test and tune, we will let everyone know.

See ya'all soon,

Dean Jr.

Thanks Bruce, for the info on happenings south of the border down our way. It is looking like there will be more cross border racing in the future. When it gets closer to a race event I will share the particulars of medical and liability Insurance that we undertook to take in the Talladega race event. And our race organization Insurer did underwrite us going to compete. The only sticky point was flying our sponsor banner due to a conflict with a US retailer and our Canadian counter part. The border crossing was a breeze even with the enhanced security, but there is curtain requirements if your hauling a load of tools and race equipment. No question from mine and Donna’s experience racing our US neighbor can be a great time.
Check each others rules and lets go racing.

Hey PALMRA Racers,

This weekend we return to the Fawn Grove Old Tyme Days.  We will be racing on Saturday July 12, tech and registration starts at 3pm and racing is scheduled to start at 6pm.  Again the pit fee will be in effect.  This excludes all drivers and one pit member per driver, all others there will be a $5.00 pit fee.  All classes will be ran.  AP, SP, JP, CP, FX, IMOW, BP, and also kids and adult stock classes.  We know there are other races in the area, so lets make this one the best.  Last year we had over 40 racers register for racing, lets do it again.  There will be other activities going on at the show all weekend if you would like to come early and check out the rest of the events.  Also, the DELMARVA chapter will be holding a race on Sunday afternoon.  The race takes place in Havre-De-Grace MD, at the Steppingstone Farm Museum. http://www.uslmra.com/forum/index.php?topic=718.0

See ya'll Saturday,

What a Race!

I ended up taking 3rd on the newly built imow. In the Heat, my belt came off after 3 laps. Messed around with the guides and the jack shaft pulleys adjusted every thing possible to get it ready for the feature. Then at the start of the feature right when we took off and the green flag was down (rolling start) i put the throttle to the wheel and it just boged down and started to pick up. Other then that, No problems! Lots of mowers. We had a great time. There will be pics later....just when ever my buddy gets them loaded. Want to thank the whole PALMRA and Fawn Grove Staff. They work there :censored: off! John #692 IMOW

It has just been brought to my attention that there was never a post on the Yahoo groups reguarding our next race.  It was and still is however posted on PALMRA.com and on the USLMRA forum.
The next stop on the PALMRA circuit takes us to the largest track of the schedule.  The race will be held in McClure PA on July 19, 2008.  This track is a large tri-oval.  The front stretch is a very long straight, this takes you to turn one, a very long sweeping turn.  A short stright leads to a very fast turn two.  The third straight is about average length for our tracks and it takes you to the tightest turn of the track.  Drivers use this turn to set up for a drag race back to the flagstand.  For times and directions visit www.PALMRA.com.
Tech and registration start at 2:30pm, racing at 5:30pm.  We will be keeping this show moving, because there are no lights.  A few ways of doing this will be covered at the drivers meeting.
See you there,
Dean Jr.
