It is a beautiful machine, but I have to ask... don't you have problems with the throttle pedal hanging that low?? It just looks like things could get a wee bit exciting over rough terrain, and it could constitute a problem backing up or onloading as low it sits to the ground.

the frame has 6" clearence the foot boards 3" and my  throttle pedal is about 2" off thre ground, so rough terain can be tricky with good strong return springs it hasent botherd me yet, although laoding and unloading is a real pain.....

eventualy i will throw the throttle up on the steering wheel but i tried it and with the season comming up so quick i didn't have the time to get the throw shortend up enough, so this will have to work for now.

Well I'm sure it isn't an issue on the track with the hammer down, but it just looked to me like it could get a wee bit exciting idling cross the yard!

Nice looking mower!

The thing that struck me - as an English racer watching the video - don't you get bored and/or dizzy running round a track like that? We never race ovals even when we only get a small area at a show to run in.

You can have a look at video of one of our classic races - the overnight 12 hour race at http://www.whosracing.com/public/videos/12hour.wmv though I'd only recommend it if you have broadband!

Lots more here: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=%22whos+racing%22

Enjoy!

i'm running a 16 hp modle#402707 opposed twin for the second year i've got probly 20 hours on it of haaaard runnin on it and i wind it up tight as it will but only under load  i never rev it without a load and never really had a problem just had to adjust the valves but thats all . i had a 12 hp briggs two years ago and would rev it for show and it lasted longer than  it should have but i belive revin it under no load will kill a stock motor . but it will allways die in a race the key is race what you can but take care of it because DNF is not a finishing position

thanks dynamark
just wanna sling some sod
