I have a set of 16x6.50x8 tires and was wondering if they would fit on the rims I have 18x9.50x8  tires on. if they do do I have to run inner tubes ? :?

the rims with the 18x9.50x8 tires are wider than the rims that the smaller tires came on. just wondering if you could run those on that wide of rim?

If you can strech them out to catch the bead you can run them tubeless...

Last year I took off 18x9.50x8  tires off a set of rims and ran the 16x6.50x8 tires with tubes. It worked very well. I think the rims are 7 inches wide.

I read something that George Herrin posted. From what I read it seems better if the back rims are a bit wider than the tire so the side wall is stiff.

It seemed to work well and I am going to run those same tires and rims this year.

You are correct Andrew I try to run at least a 1/2 to and inch wider rim than tire. I do this front and back.

Rear I run a 16x7.50x8 on a 8x8 rim fronts are 13x6.5x6 on a 7.25x6 rim. I like the wider tire best.

I think I read some in here that you run turf pros on the rear and turf masters on the front is that correct? and if so do you know a place where a man can get them fairly cheap ? Don't really want to spend enough money on lawn mower tires to buy new tires for the wifes car LOL

Thats what I run unless its a real sloppy track. Then I put the masters on the rear. As for cheap good luck. None of em cheap unless you know someone.
