"County Fair" Pulling
« on: March 14, 2008, 04:36:15 pm »
With summer coming up shortly, and all the fun summer/fall events to follow I have a question about pulling...

It seems at the county fairs, they will let you go out and pull with anything that you bring, I have yet to find a rules sheet for any of the ones in my area.

I'm thinking about entering El Toro in just for fun, not really expecting it to do all that well - since it was built for off-roading and not pulling.

Before I even THINK about doing this, is there anything I should address first?

I currently have the thing almost completely torn down since I'm re-building it (so-to-speak).

For those of you that don't remember the build, you can find it over on the OffRoadMowers.com's ATLMA Forums here: http://www.atlma.us/index.php/topic,30.0.html

The only thing I can see Chris is if it hooks up at all your transmission will last about half a second. Those aluminum case chain drive transmissions will not take that at all.

All your weight is on the rear end too dude! You need to look at some means of weighting the front end or she's subject to go over on you!! Provided the tranny does hold together.

Yeah, good thoughts guys - I don't want to see my transmission grenade!

Maybe I'll just sit on the sidelines and watch
