28 C.I ohv briggs question
« on: March 07, 2008, 05:27:24 pm »
Does anyone know if a 14.5 / 15.5 H.P. 28 C.I. ohv can be bored enough to install a 31 C.I  18 H.P. stock piston without sleeving it ?  I am thinking it can't but want to make sure before I order a sleeve.     Thank You for the help.    johnboy

yes on the sleeve. the bore is .120" bigger on the 31" than the 28". you would end up cutting the sleeve out.

Does anyone know about how thick the original sleeves are that Briggs uses?  Just something I have been wondering about.   Thanks   johnboy
