A few questions on rears...
« on: April 21, 2006, 12:37:18 am »
I have a few questions...
1.) What mowers did the peerless 600 series tranny come on, because ive been looking for one.
2.) Does the peerless 600 series run off a horizontal shaft motor? If so what would be the best tranny to mount up to a Craftsman LT 4000 with a 13 h.p enduro Vertical shaft?
3.) Does any one have a good picture of a good rear end for my craftsman that is mounted on there mower?
4.) Where do you guys/girls(if any) get your pulleys?

Sorry about all the questions, i just didnt want to have like 4 separate posts. Thanks for any info/pic. It will be much apretiated.

600 series is a transaxle, a 350/400 series is a 600 without the axles and is a transmission. A 700 series is a transmission also. And to give a list of what they come in would be almost impossible. Lookin the older mowers for 600 sereis transaxles dynamarks used them alot. And no the 600 series transaxle runs from a vertical shaft engine., No pics of a craftsman but checke out  http://www.geocities.com/georgenfive or   http://www.geocities.com/herrinmowersports for some build pictures and ideas.

http://www.phoenix-mfg.com/

They have a good selection of pulleys and idlers. If I order on the weekend or monday, they arrive in Seattle on Friday via ups ground.
