You guys need to see it up close to see the attention to detail. I was there yesterday and everytime I look at it I get ideas and inspiration for my tractor.

It's like a never ending progression of technology.. When you see it come out of the corner with the front wheels in the air, you see how well this combination works...

I think the speed record is in serious jeopardy.

I will have to agree with that comment. That machine of yours is amazing piece of mowchinary. The deck you fabricated is beautiful, you could put blades on that thing and sell quite a few of them to mow grass with haha. Thanks for the pics and the inspiration.

I am in complete agreement with everyone, you have done some amazing work here!

I have a question about your drive line setup: As i can see it, you're running a cent' clutch from the engine to the first sprocket on the jack shaft, then another chain setup from the other end of the jack shaft to the rear axle correct? This gives you that "double geared" setup that gives you both acceleration and speed.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
There is only one gear ratio, I don't have a low and high gear. With the jackshaft I'm able to get the 8:1 final ratio needed for our tracks. I did some experimenting and tried to run the chain directly to the axle but it wasn't dependable enough on the rough tracks and the rear sprocket was almost the same diameter as the rear tire to get 8:1, the idea was to get rid of some rotating mass and bearings and so on. Plus with the set up that is on there now the load on the primary chain is greatly reduced.  Ryan

The frame is finally painted in New Holland blue and a few coats of clear.

Just have to find the time to assemble it. Try to ignore the background mess

It's surrounded by bars.. and keeps the weight down low... I don't think there would be any problems

The fuel tank was placed there on purpose, you will start to see more and more of this on some of the big hp mowers in the future. It is protected pretty well,  chrome moly underneath and all the way around it.
Its a funny thing but the only part of the mower that had any paint left on it was the front bumper last season.
