Hello my name is Lloyd and I live in Alhambra Il. I cannot make the meeting on the 12th , but I am a member of ARMA. Joining The ARMA would be the best thing for your group to do for so many reasons. Please let me Know how it goes and your decision on joining. Having races in Il. would be great, thank you.

Lloyd, you're way down south in Illinois, but there will be USLMRA races in here this year.  We'd love to have you come out and race with us, but we are pretty far up north.  We generally race in Mendota, Aroma Park, and a few other places around Chicago.  If you wanna come up and race with us we'd be happy to have you.

I just wanted everyone who wants to and likes to race to know as far I know, you can join many different race organization, just make sure they have insurance at all events and have fun. Even Nascar races several different types of events. Just my 2 cents. Al Myers President Ohio LMRA (USLMRA).

AMEN AL, this isn't about us or them its about LAWN MOWER racing as a whole. There are two Major Players in Lawn Mower Racing Sanctioning Bodies. ARMA and USLMRA both insured both feel they have there own pro's. BUT when it comes right down to it and you the racer want to race, make your own choice do not let someone tell you well if you race with us you cannot race with them or the other way around either. Last time I checked we are still in a free country and have fellow Americans dieing every day to ensure that we have that right to choose. (God Bless those men and women. BUT whatever you choose be safe have fun and make sure that your event and you are insured. Oh and promote the this MOTORsport to the best of your ability. See ya at a track near you.

Thanks to Stacey Crowl and Duane Ferguson for coming out to our meeting.  Also thanks to Mike Miller and Kevin Penne from USLMRA.  Alot of question were answered, and some new ideas for us were brought up.  We gave our members until Feb.2 to think over the 2 groups.  But as of right now I think the better fit for us is ARMA.  Can't say for sure yet but that's the general feeling I got.  Some of the guys have never heard of ARMA before, so there was questions of reliablilty and longevity.  It really helped having Stacey and Duane there.  We did have few new racers there, so hopefully we will continue to grow in this area.  Next we will working on our schedule and a few more venues in the area.  Will post more later when we send our membership paperwork in.

Thanks for the update guys.  I'm very interested to see which way you guys go, and for what reasons.

Both groups have their strengths, so I'd like to see what the weaknesses you guys see are.

Thanks!

At yesterday's race meeting we voted to go with ARMA.  So our membership should be in the mail this week.  So if we are approved by ARMA, I'd like to post some of our race dates.  If we are and I do, I'll put them in the ARMA section.  We are looking at about 12-13 races this year.   We also grew by few members since our last meeting.  Hopefully this will continue.  More later.
