carb help
« on: October 14, 2007, 09:05:55 pm »
hello
I got a 23hp vangard. I took the plugs out today and they where black like its runing rich. I started it up let it warm then pulled the plugs again. They where still black. I start looking at the carb. I started the engine and closed the choke. the engine did not change at all. I made sure the choke was moving. can any one tell me how to set the jets on the carb. and what else could cause this? thanks for the help

Fixed jets nothing to change, if closing the choke does nothing in how it runs you got some serious issues. Choking it should smother it completely out.

1 1/4 turn out and like I said if closing the choke don't change nothing you got serious issues that a qualified mechanic should be looking at.
