Bout time. I know several that ran my last year with US under 4. I even did so two races where I had changed my rear tires from the masters to the pros and didn't check it. When I did I was at 3 1/2 in the rear at the hitch.  :omg: First time I ever did anything like that. But like I said the last few years I was racing it simply wasn't checked that hard if any.
So , should I trim off my hitch ? cause that is the lowest part on my new chassis .At the rear axle I am at 5 1/2 and the front is 4 1/2 , but the hitch is around 3 1/2 .

My LC inspects the side of the frame height. My rear hitch plate ground clearance is a bit lower than the frame... Not sure if they (techs) consider the rear hitch as part of the frame height.  I know on Craftsman mowers that most of the older style hitches ride much lower than the frame, but that is the way they came from the factory.

If it were under ARMA I would say yes. I do not know what US techs want or will allow.

I measure the frame height behind the front axle. Axles, steering linkage etc. can all be lower. Hitches may be removed.

my superstock had a peerless 802 5 speed transaxle. the first thing i did when i put it together was pull the single speed rear out of it. its not superstock anymore... the rear is 4"s off the deck and i am getting ready to build the front axle. all materials were freebies, just need to buy cart spindles and i can build it. oh it also has a 20hp kohler magnum twin in it.

I didn't know what rear it had or that you were moving up to a twin class either

i just put it on to race with locally. that may go on a puller i may build. may actually move the mtd to the mod flathead class and build another for a different class. the murray i will keep to run local, but i still have lots of time to change my mind.
