Well good luck, I do not know of anything out there for this motor. The flat heads are at such a disadvantage to the ohv motor's no one really has tried hard to make em run. Precsision cams can however grind you a cam for it. Call em ask for Mike and tell him I sent ya.

Never done nothing with a twin flat head except fix them on grass cutters. Want dual carbs buy a Tecumseh V-Twin they come with it and are the only US leagl dual carb engine. Small Engine Distributors sells the less than 400.00 all the time

They will work, but the few ive seen in our local races come apart at the higher rpms! i would build this thing for lowend, and gear it up to make up for it. they are torquemonsters, but the flat heads limit your compression. Back in the day, 7 to 1 compression in the flathead v8 fords was considered high! so when Olds and Caddy came out with the OHV and the 8.3 compression people were blown away! Try it, but find a backup engine so your not out for the season!

Oh come on man. You got no lady fingers, fuzz buttles, snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zippity do das, or crap flappers? No, I don't. You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

Got me a new some new pipes. I was wondering how would you lighten the fly wheel and still keep as safe as possible.

Got me a new some new pipes. I was wondering how would you lighten the fly wheel and still keep as safe as possible. Drop Don Geinger at G-Team Racing a line, he can tell you how to lighten it, although he isn't necessarily a proponent of doing so. He's probably going to try and talk you into a billet wheel. The process requires knocking all the fins off and machining the flywheel, then installing plastic fan. On the Briggs mods he used to do, he used the fan off of an 8hp Briggs on the 12hp wheel. The magents in the flywheel also become an issue, dependent upon how far you turn the wheel down. If you do elect to go that route with intentions of running USLMRA class, G-Team offers a Scattershield to meet USLMRA specs on modified stock wheels also.
