S/P engine of choice???
« on: April 26, 2007, 02:52:05 am »
Hello,

I was just reading the USLMRA rules, they don't state a maximum engine size for the S/P class.  Would a 28ci 12hp be a competitive engine?  Or is there a better engine of choice?

Thanks,

Most folks do run the 28 cid Briggs engine, although it is frequently modified to 31 cid.

There are other options out there, but there is a ton of performance parts available for 28. Don at G-Team is one of the best at building this engine as well, and if you're going to be running in MN, you'll have several of his engines to beat.
