That starter won't fit any flathead single I'm aware of....

Unless your running a BUILT motor your not going to have to run a BIG starter .
I know some of the guys that are running mildly built motors that are still running stock starters .

One more thing to think about is the wiring from your battery to the solenoid and the starter!
 Don't forget the Ground either!!  Make sure you have really clean connections and a number 2 wire would not hurt. 
You can get copper ring terminals and solder the wires in the rings.

The ground is just as important. If you can, ground it to one of your motor mount bolts.

hey if u already have a starter thats stock do wut i did i took a starter off a 16hp twin i/c and just switched around the mounts off mi 12 hp and it works great all i got to do now is start the engine :confused:
