Please disregard what I said about cutting fenders it was late. "Sidebar" I didn't do anything like that to my fenders because they fit without modification. You can still mount them closer to level by raising the front of the fender slightly, as long as there is no big gap between the running board and the fender. As far as the seat mount goes look at George's build thread and you will see what I mean, I tried springs and they don't work the best, you really want to feel one with the mower (it's a zen thing "ltms"). I don't advocate cheating or bending of the rules please forgive me it won't happen again.

See http://www.heymow.com/index.php/topic,1020.0.html in respect to the fenders. I didn't say a word, nor did Snowman!

Can't wait to get to meet all the new racers this year and see all the old friends .

Hey guys did not think for a minute that anything said in prior posts was for me to cheat in any way. All is good. Now as far as paint goes its going to be black with chameleon color changing flames (magenta to gold).

Good choice, I painted my hood and fenders with color shift paint, it's cool stuff.

Hi guys, got a little more done this weekend. I got my deck halves welded on and if they look familiar, they should. I did what George did in his 07 build  8). I fabbed up a cover plate for the rear sprocket and made some brackets to mount the fenders. Now it's time for tear down and paint.

Man I don't know how I missed this one!  But I did.  You may want to take some more pics of those rear fenders and send them to Jim Witt (tech guy for USLMRA).
The rule says you can descretly move the fenders, but from what I can see in the pics you moved them 4-5 inches and built brackets to hold them on.  I was told descrete is 1 inch or 2 inches MAX but they must look like they belong there.  Yours sit very high and have a gap in the back, I don't think they will pass like that.

I'd get the O.K. from Jim before you procede.  You don't want to get it painted and then have to change it later.

Sorry for the bad news.

I guess I don't think that it looks like you did much to them , I have seen alot more obviouse move jobs and they weren't even looked at .
I don't know but I think that what they are lookin for the most is guys cuttin the fender it's self to make room for the tire or rollin the fender to make room .

Paul is right you should ask Jim , but I doubt that it will be a problem .
It look real nice , It's nice to see guys buildin high class mowers that are going to be SAFE and look good to put on a good show for the fans .
