Hot Rod Sears Build (IMOW)
« on: April 13, 2007, 03:08:29 pm »
Well I'm starting a new build for my sears (for the 2 time). Now what all be doing is putting a live axle with a 700 tranny, and for a power house a 10hp B&S. As for the rims I called Don yesterday and he's got the rims all need (8 and 6 inch)... so all be buying from him. Then I think all buy spindles from George. Well hear are some pics of what I'm working with.

No, where I'm at there are no races that me or rocky could find or I would be in one.

What this will be used for is advertising, parades, car shows, etc.

More pics.....

Why don't you build this to some race specs anyway. Someday there may be a USLMRA or ARMA chapter near you then you'll have a race ready mowchine!

It may be the only one this year, but the whole experience would be worth it.. anyone asking what your doing and it's a "long term goal" .. brings stability and focus into your life and gives a "measurable" bar or standard to reach and goals to set...

AND...!!!!

If you have a USLMRA or ARMA "Legal"mower...ready to race...

There is so much more incentive to make the trip ...even if it is 8 or 12 hour drive to race...

You would be welcomed and accepted at the event, and it will be so much easier to "justify" the costs and expenses if he final result has a "use"....

Well Danny,
you could start your own chapter. There were not any chapters here in CA period and somehow, we already have something like 10-12 guys with machines ready to race. Stir up some interest and you'd be amazed at how many people come out of the woodwork. Anyhow- make a post on here and see if anyone signs up.

We'll have to send you some "stickers"...

And can probably move this to the Race Build section.

That's cool Danny! Really not much more involved than what you were planning anyhow, and then it will be race ready, allowing you the opportunity to race if you get a chance.

You got a mailing address we can send stickers too??

heres a tip Danny
when your painting, taking everything apart and wirewheel them down
then apply more than one coat of primer, a few coats of paint, and a layer of liquid enamel, and it will turn out great.
it will definitely be worth the time
