Peerless 206-502C vs 206-545C
« on: July 28, 2019, 06:09:57 pm »
Hello!

My current mower has a Peerless MST-206-502C transaxle that I need to replace. I looked online and found that there aren't many for sale. However, the MST-205-545C is available from about 30 different sellers and all in pretty good condition. SO I wanted to know, could I just swap these and be done? or do I need to go with the 502C?

I have the measurements for the 502C here, but couldn't find similar diagrams for the 545C: https://www.smallenginesurplus.com/images/MST-206-502C-2.jpg

Thank you for any info!

Dear jmoney1119,

You will need to stay with the 206-502C, as the 206-545C has different axle lengths, a different brake lever, a much taller shift shaft, and a taller input shaft.  MSRP on a new 206-502C is $416.00; I can sell you one for $375.00.

Respectfully,
