Briggs Mod 35 V Twin Pistons?
«

I want to use ARC 6276 long rods but the stock pistons stick out above the deck.
How much can i machine off the top of the pistons and not make the top ring land too thin?
Another way of saying it is how thick does the top ring land have to be?
Is there a thicker head gasket available?
Do you have a part number?
Thanks
Jim

No thinner than the oil land to 2nd ring land. Ruffly.080 Yes you can get a .035 or .062 copper head gasket. Ryker Racing sells the gaskets.

what you want is older 35ci piston , they are much better quality and the ring land is further from the top, we usualy cut 0.100 and it get -0.010 bellow deck with the arc long rod
