42ci oppy What pistons are you guys using
« on: September 14, 2018, 03:27:09 PM »
New guy here and running into a bit of confusion with this 19.5 opposed twin Iím trying to build up over the winter. I ordered the arc racing Billet rods they offer for the Briggs opposed twins and it lists that I should be using Briggs part number 792307 pistons. Now the issue Iíve run into is that this part number is now obsolete and has nothing that supersedes it. Iím faced with a dilemma that the engine I want to build up Iím not sure what pistons Iím supposed to run now and I definetly donít want to use used pistons for obvious reasons. Can any of you guys maybe shed some light on this topic on which piston yíall are running or would recommend using in my instance? Thanks in advance guys !

792307 should still be a good pt# that or the .020 version of it which is 792728.
Where did you try to buy these pistons

Hi and thanks for the reply. This info is coming straight from arc racing themselves as well as a few of the bigger distributors including jacks small engine. Arc was able to source me the part number for the 20 thousandth over piston as well but again my search keeps ending in ďpart no longer availableĒ  :bash:
