Noob Here. Was curious, bought a mower... Whats next?
« on: May 22, 2019, 03:33:23 pm »
Good evening Guys and girls

My name is James, i live in Gloucester.

After many years of curiosity ive decided to investigate this mower racing malarkey.

Ive done MX, road racing, trails and all sorts of other hobbies so im pretty well practised when it comes to the mechanical side of things.

Ive joined the BLMRA facebook page, ive had a few chats ect and now im here with a few questions.

I have a toro wheel horse 14.38 HXL
Ive upgraded the engine to a 16hp toro (briggs) vtwin and now i am need of help with making it go fast, making it stop and hopefully installing a foot throttle, brake and clutch.

Fisrt on the list is speed....?

Secondly, Clutch..?

Ill work out the stopping bit later haha

Pics attached!

Cheers folks

First step is build it to the rules of your sanctioning club.
Safety being the main goal. Brakes first.

To go fast you must be able to stop fast. Put the whoa in before you put the go in. A better handling machine will outrun a higher HP machine.
