Cam repair ?
« on: June 28, 2018, 11:55:40 pm »
Does anyone happen to know , if any of the cam manufacturer's we use , also do repairs ? I have a expensive kohler cam with a lobe that has a fair amount of pitting/shaved damage...

Cam would most likely have to go back to original grinder that ground cam,it is very unlikely that other cam grinders would have the exact profile you have, unless you don't mind changing the profile of the entire cam to fix the damaged lobe

I wouldn't mind changing it . It was just in a box of parts I bought , so I thought I'd look into it .. I wish I knew who made it...
