RAGB gearing questions

Hello all, I have a racing mower with a 18HP vangaurd (stock), it’s got a 5 “ engine pulley 10” gear box, then a 16 tooth to 60. What do I have wrong here my rear ratio is 3.75-1. My mower has no go down the straight. Any help be great  :confused:

Did you check that you're getting full rpm out of your engine? Belt clutch or centrifugal clutch? What size rear tires?

Belt clutch with 16x7.50x8

For one thing your final gear ratio is 7.50-1
If you are running governed 3650 rpm your doing about 23-24 mph with your setup ,that's why you have no straightaway speed

Lucas:
I have the governor removed from my engine, what ratio should I be around ?
