Newbie questions
« on: April 19, 2018, 03:55:14 pm »
Hey guys, I'm new to all of this. Can I make a mower fast, tune a carb, swap pulleys?? Yes, yes, and yes. Me and a bunch of buddies do this at work for fun and its a blast. We get a good turnout of people, drink a few beers, and have a big cook out! We have 50/50s, and a donation jar. Why? We donate to a great cause for every race! Absolutely NO money is kept, and it feels awesome. Anyways here are a few of my questions!

1. What is a vanguard motor?
2. Are they the only motor you can get performance aftermarket parts for? I.E. cams, valves..etc.
3. What are some tips and tricks to getting "stock" mowers through a corner? Considering stock components, in original position.
4. Whats the easiest way, or best way, to lower the mower?
5. Does everyone weld there rearend for posi?

Thanks in advance for any replys! Just looking for a little edge over my work friends haha.
