HD Stamped Rocker Arms Part #? 38ci
« on: October 20, 2017, 07:20:22 pm »
Just wondering if anyone could give me the part number for the new HD style stamped steel rocker arm for my rebuild 23hp. Put a cheetah cam and billet retainers with double valve springs and I don't want to break the steel rockers. Not sure what I have now but would like to look at the new Style at least and compare it to mine or order new ones. Thanks

Use the vanguard roller rockers. Even heavier duty than stamped rockers. Look up vanguard rockers on eBay, and they will show up. The operate with a shaft

Do you mean like the old aluminum ones? I have a set up early 90's heads off a 16hp that have aluminum rockers that i thought about using but decided i didnt want to ruin the old heads ill probably just set them as a complete set.

Do they make a new version of the old style roller ones?

Use the aluminum ones. All you need to do is drill and tap stud holes to 8mm and file down tabs.
I got a couple sets of new in box newer style steel rockers you can have for cheap. I’ve bought a couple sets of new heads and they come with them, I use the aluminum ones and have never broke one.
