Briggs 13.5 ohv electric start wiring.need help

Im having alot of diff probs with solenoid then the carb solenoid and wiring in general .i want to get rid off all the unnecessary wiring ,maybe just go with toggle or push to start.can someone show me a diagram with detail or break it down for me .visual learning is best

Thanks.I checked out the diagram but what about the carb solenoid wires?would i run it off the magneto were it says lights or hook it into the kill switch

On my mower I have a lit toggle switch that runs the carb solenoid. Simple to wire, one wire is ground one wire is power, and it doesn't get forgotten left on because of the light!

I been wonderin how the solenoid works ,does it just retract when powered on to let the float move ? Or does it do somethin else?

It closes off the main jet when power is cut off by shutting the switch off.

If solenoid is bad can i just put a bolt in place of the solenoid and a shut off valve on the line

Someone said i need to put an adjustable needle but i cant find one .so just to double check .fuel line shut valve and bolt with seal and im good to go?

As long as it is jeted correctly.   You may need the adjustable needle to fine tune it. 

You can get the needle from EC distributing.

I was working on carb and the spring on the choke got sprung outa place.is the spring supposed to hold the choke open or close ?
