Briggs starting problems.please help

Fired up twice by bridging post on solenoid,with all ignition switch wires hangin.put new ignit on and now the solenoid juat clicks once.tryied jumping solenoid ,she keeps spinning but wont fire up

Rewire the mower.   Get rid of all the stock stuff. 

Make it start and stop.   No need for the safety switches on a racing mower.

Did you try jumping it with the new plug unplugged.. Could be the wrong ignition switch.. Hard to diagnose on a forum..

Does you carb have a solenoid or needle in the bottom? If it's the solenoid, confirm it has power during crank and run.

Solenoid type carb .the carb just keeps filling with gas

Confirm the carb solenoid has power during crank and run, and check your spark.

Can i just put a carb without a solenoid or take out the solenoid and put a bolt or somethin in the hole

Yes.

or take out the solenoid and put a bolt or somethin in the hole

Not sure about that, either follow the suggested replacing it with an adjustable needle or have you checked for power and ground at the connector for the solenoid at run and cranking ?

I dont understand, the point of solenoid is to cut off gas when ignition is off.why is it flooding ?if solenoid is messin up shouldnt it be gettin cut off from gas.i might b thinking too much

I was working on carb and the spring on the choke got sprung outa place.is the spring supposed to hold the choke open or close ?
