The Ec carbs are a lil expensive ill invest in one later but for now ill just do the adjustable needle .i see one needle on e.c website,is it a one size fits all type deal oe so i need to find a specific one?

Call them and tell them what carb you have and they will be able to help you.

I was working on carb and the spring on the choke got sprung outa place.is the spring supposed to hold the choke open or close ?

I got it working right. Rode the mower a lil today.i know this isnt the original topic but the battery is dead now. I deleted all unecassary wires but i Dont understand how the battery gets iTs charge.do i just run a wire from stator back to positive terminal on battery?

We don't run charging systems on racing mowers. At least the ones with billet flywheels. Just charge it up between races.

Im not racing its gonna b a off road build.i plan on doin a race build when i move back to my ga home, Why dont yall have charging systems tho?

If the carb is running too lean will the oil smell a lil like gas ? Or is this somethin else.

No.  You have gas in your oil.  Likely a stuck float.

Floats good i just cleaned carb .the fuel shut off solenoid doesnt work it just stays open.its new oil ,first time running in a long time .could it be somethin else?

What do you mean "it doesn't work". That could mean it's stopping the fuel from getting to the cylinder. You will also need to check the rest of the ports in the tube and the carb body. By putting in the adjustable needle you eliminate a problem and allow you to fine tune how it runs. How does the plug look?

Looks good new plug.the carb solenoid is stuck open ,so it gets fuel .i have to turn the fuel off by visegrip on the line until i get a petcock for the tank.i plan on gettin a better quality carb .im just trying to work out all the bugs from the p.o neglect
