Peerless 700-770

Building my first race mower , question is my peerless 700 does not look like the one in the peerless 700 race prep " thread .
The bushings are all open on the sides which seems to me it won't seal up well .
Also it did not have an o-ring under the gear on the input shaft but had an o-ring under the pulley side acting as a grease seal.
Do I need to find a different model 700 or will this one do?

It'll do just fine. It will be a bit messier due to the open bushings. 700 cases were both ways, no worries. Should be a lip seal at the lower end of the input once you are done, no seals etc above that. You want the oil getting to those bearings.
