Well 182 views and no one has a suggestion of what to try or check? I must not be a member of the club.

We do not do offroad mowers, a predator 212 is not a common motor used in mower racing.
Things are slow right now, and the mass of members are not around to answer questions.
Do a search on 212 and see what you come up with. Maybe you could send a message to one
of the members who use them in one of the few clubs that may use that motor.
Go-karts use this motor as well as some mini bikes guys. You may want to try one of those sites
to help dial in your setup.

I would take the carb off and make sure the mounting gasket didn't slip to one side.  When you have the carb off, study the adjustment screws.  The idle screw should be screwed in till it bottoms out then opened 1 1/2 turns, then fine tuned when the engine idles
