No, I don't.

Kind of a mixed bag John...

Depends on what you want out of it and what your willing to put into it...

George is pretty set on the EC axle pictured on the first page...I have one in my FX and boy is it smoooooth...With full bearings on the steering I can turn the shaft by rolling it between my fingers...but it does cost a bit for that kind of finesse

The ACME axles are popular as well and a decent choice for an IMOW type mowchine...

Don at G-Team builds a nice adjustable bearing axle/spindle set as well..

I have also used the fun cart spindles and while they are better than stock they leave a bit to be desired in the reliability factor unless you do a few upgrades to them...

If you have the machining skills and tools, it's not too hard to build a decent set of your own spindles, but if your limited on equipment, buying a ready made is the safe and sure way to go...

Thanks Randy, I guess G-team is the way to go as far as what people are telling me.

Randy,

where did you get your fun cart spindels at? Do you have any picks of the fun cart set up?

i was just looking before i got on here at some spindles and decided i was going to follow after you and make my own linkage, now i just need to figure out what spindles i'm going to use

thanks!!

I got these from ACME..although they are not the ones he uses on his "premade" axles....

Here you can see the modifications I preformed for my AP build...Loose the plastic bushings, drill and add brass bushings and grease zerks...The 1/8" plate on the steering arm stiffens a weak link and I still had trouble with the axle spindles "tweaking" (bending) with the ruff use of racing...

Thanks for posting the pics!!

BTW,
What do you think of the spindles that come ready to weld on?
Like the holder and spindle come pre-built.

also,

Have you ever used stock front mower rims with a custom from end like the ones you build?
Or do you always run some kind of bearing and hub set up?

Thanks!!

Check out Sami's SS... It has standard 15x 6.5 x 6 mower tires and wheels...with the above spindles...

5/8" flanged bearings (the cheap ones) are easy to get...

Squidd, I looked at the SS build and some picks of what you were talking about, but I did not see any details on the bearing you were talking about. ( honestly I did a quick run through )

So these bearings can be put inside the stock wheels and run on fun cart spindles right?

I know this may seem stupidly obvious, but this is my first time doing something like this.   :woo:

Thanks for your help!!

just found this..

http://acmemowersports.com/cart_spindles_1.html
