PA MINIPRO RULES 2017
To be eligible,
Must be a MiniPro class machine
NO mixing of classes
Must meet ALL safety regulations
Minimum driver age 16 years
MUST HAVE COMPLETE BUILD TECH BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO COMPETE
Inspection will be on Test and Tune day
Inspection sticker will be issued if machine passes tech
IF there is a wreck machine must be reinspected before being allowed to race
MANDATORY RACING PERSONAL SAFETY GEAR
Full face helmet
Long sleeves
Long pants
1 or 2 piece racing suit is preferred although not mandatory
All clothing to be free of excessive tears, rips or holes
Gloves
Neck collar
6" or greater over the ankle leather work boots
Chest protector optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
GENERAL TRACK SAFETY RULES AND RULES OF THE SPEEDWAY
Obtain and study the Shellhammers Speedway Rule book
Under rules of the speedway,
Rule 1 does not apply as we run lawn mower tires
Rule 3 since we have smaller body panels numbers to be 3"-5" high is okay
PA MINIPRO ELIGIBILITY. NO VARIATIONS< NO EXCEPTIONS
May use an existing "Mini" mower chassis/sheetmetal
Must be Rugg, Huffy, Mustang or similar NO rear engine machines
If no Mini Mowers are available or the frame is bad,
YOU MAY scratch build a frame to the following criteria. NO VARIATIONS or EXCEPTIONS
Spec frame will be constructed of 2"x1"x14 or 11 guage Rectangular Steel Tubing ONLY
Spec built frame will measure outside to outside 12" only NO EXCEPTIONS!
Factory built frames must retain stock wheelbase and frame width
Spec built chassis wheelbase will be 34" minimum to 39" maximum
Maximum width 38" to extreme outer edge of tire/wheel
Ground clearance 4" frame minimum, 2.5" deck minimum
SHEETMETAL MUST BE OF LAWN MOWER ORIGIN
If small ("huffy" style) is not available the larger lawn mower hoods may be used
Larger lawn mower hoods may be shrunk (chopped and channeled) to fit the smaller chassis
Rear fenders are optional
Must use factory mower deck or deck halves NO nerf bars
Mower "brand" name will be the same as the hood being used
Example Homemade Frame/Wheelhorse hood,= wheelhorse mower
Must use a factory seat or its replacement must be centered. NO kart seats
Lowest portion of the seat pan NO lower than the tops of the tires
Steering wheel must be full circle, NO handlebars
ENGINE REQUIREMENTS
Must be a 196cc Clone engine only. NO Honda. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Stock block, stock side cover,stock head casting NO BILLET
Head may be aftermarket cast, Must be for a 196cc clone. NO HEMI HEAD
Crankshaft to be Stock, Max Stroke or Clone Plus Stroke Crankshaft .012-.014
ARC Billet Aluminum Flywheel #6619 early or later version okay
NO other flywheel permitted
Engine bore will remain Stock, NO overbore
Aftermarket Piston okay (stock diameter)
Billet Rod Okay
Valves stock diameter stock or stainless steel okay
Choice of any Camshaft
Aftermarket Valve Springs, Keepers, Retainers, Pushrods Okay
NO billet or roller rockers, Champion or aftermarket Stamped Okay
NO cc limits on combustion chamber. Porting/Polishing Okay
Stock Valve Cover. Pulse Fitting Okay
Carb must appear stock but may be internally modified
Larger engine Carbs NOT ALLOWED NO Standoff Tubes
Must run aftermarket air cleaner
PUMP GAS ONLY!
Engine must appear stock externally, Must be naturally aspirated.
Exhaust pipe NO Restrictions but must exit away from driver
Throttle Hand or Foot controlled dead man style
Must use a commercially available tethered kill switch
DRIVELINE REQUIREMENTS
Clutch, Shoe or Drum only NO Disc clutches
Must run Jackshaft between engine and rear axle
Exposed sprockets and chain will be shielded (11 ga min steel) to deflect chain away from driver
TIRES
Lawn Mower tires (any tread) ONLY. 13X5x6" or 13x6.50"x6"
No Offset or Stagger
Wheels will be aluminum
Must use shaft locks, center thru bolts, or pins to secure wheel hub to axle
Rear Brakes Axle Mounted Only Front Brakes Optional
Front and Rear Bumpers are mandatory 1" Max diameter round steel tubing
Rear Bumper not to exceed 38" width
Front Bumper 12"width. Both 6" height (approx) 
Front Bumper to be even with the leading edge of the front tires
Scoring and timing with transponders (bag type mount)
Bag will mount between the front axle and the Crankshaft centerline left or right side
PLEASE READ, UNDERSTAND AND ABIDE BY THESE RULES!
Cheating AND/OR Safety Violations WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and may result in loss of points or suspension

 I was one of a group of 3 that made this class a reality.
We run MiniPro at a local racetrack and the PA mower racers run them also.
Very fast, low cost, fun class to run.
