Model 19 (8hp Briggs) build
« on: November 15, 2016, 10:29:26 am »
Hello, I'm new and I was looking for some help. I have a model 19 ( I think) flathead that I want to build up for pulling. I plan on rebuilding the motor, I want to keep mostly stock so no boring or stroking. I did some digging and came across smog pumps as superchargers, would this work? I'm using this for pulling and I just want something people will look at and be like "wow that's cool".  Any help or input is appreciated.

I should probably add I do have mechanical experience. Does anyone know if you can aftermarket flywheels for this engine? I keep hearing the first thing to do is replace the flywheel

USE THE SEARCH AND YOU WILL GET LOTS OF INFO ON THIS ENGINE. LOOK IN THE LINKS AND GO TO "ARC" AND THEY HAVE FLYWHEELS AND RODS FOR THAT ENGINE.
