Intek model 44 V-twin valve question
« on: November 03, 2016, 10:59:54 pm »
I have a model 44 intek V-twin that has model 49 heads and I wanted to know what people were using for bigger valves for that head. Is there any off the shelf bigger valves?

My opinion is 49 valves are plenty big for your 44ci BP motor.

If you really want some bigger stainless valves I have some

You can go a tad larger without compromising torque, which I would recommend. Paul can probably make or get whatever size you want.  I would only use stock 49 valves on a 40 block, just my opinion. But you don't want nor need monster valves for a 44, unless you're an RPM junkie and that whole can o' worms.

I have the new Precision cam and before I had the Iskey cam and normally ran 7600rpms. So I do want this motor to breathe well.
