Kohler command 20hp one cylnder misfires at 2800 rpm
« on: August 23, 2016, 01:34:12 pm »
Kohler cv20s racing lawn mower loaded w/ Lakota fly ,cylinders, HP cam, bored out 30 over. I have magnetron coils (stein). I have tried 3 sets and still get one cylinder cutting in and out at 2800 to 3000 rpms.
Timing is perfect, no backfires, new spark plugs, racing carb. Trying not to spend anther $500 on Vodoo coils and timing plate.
Any suggestions welcome?

I never had good luck with the stock coils.

The voodoo is the way to go.

Check coil gap. I had same problem until I set gap at .040".
