Gears, Pullys, and Sprockets
« on: June 20, 2016, 04:10:35 pm »
Here is the setup now.
1. Huffy Chassis
2. 19" Briggs
3. 5" pully on motor
4. 41/2" pully on input of 700 Peerless
5. 10 tooth on output of Peerless
6. 42 tooth on axle
What changes would you suggest for a little more torque comeing out of the corners?

If the engine is not running out of steam at the end of the straight, go more teeth on the rear axle sprocket. Like 44, and if that doesnt do it, 46 or 48 even.

Not running out of steam. This sounds like an inexpensive possible help. Thank you very much.

YOU WANT TO RUN OUT OF STEAM SO YOU KNOW WHERE THE LIMIT IS THEN BACK OFF A LITTLE. THAT WAY YOU GET EVERYTHING OUT OF THE ENGINE YOU CAN.
