28 with arc flywheel timing issues.
« on: March 22, 2016, 08:55:50 pm »
Checking the timing on my flathead and it's showing over 60 degrees...
Pulled head and verified TDC. And with my timing light it's showing a massive amount of ignition timing.
Flywheel key is intact. Hopefully I'm missing something???
Any advice appreciated.
Thx.

Just wondering exactly how your checking your timing? is the degree wheel attached to crank and engine running ?

Double check your timing marks on the hub and flywheel. That much out could be a bolthole off.

Fixed.
Indexed the hub back the key-way width. Not sure why my hubs wrong but its good to go now.
