Peerless 2300 questions
« on: February 03, 2016, 04:23:57 pm »
I have read the section on transmissions and it seems the 2300 is not the best for racing, any particular reason why? Is it weak, geared low, etc. messing around with a old Sears custom xl10 with a 10hp horizontal shaft engine (tehcumsa) I know the spelling is wrong. Not looking to ditch this mower as it was free in my barn but if the 2300 trans won't work is there another trans with a horizontal pulley that would work in its place? Any help wod be great guys. Thank you

Yup, it's weak. Sometimes free isn't good. You may want to find a chassis set up for a vertical shaft engine andcdsve your self a lot of work.

Gary Busey and Rick James both used to live in my shop. Redline stole them.
