Looking into battery system to turn my high comp kholar over right now i got a little 230ca batt & it will crank it for 1 sec then slow down. Has anyone else looked into how much Cranking Amps you need to get the kholars to turn over quick also how much the starters can take?

You need a bigger battery.  I run a regular lawn mower battery that has 440 cca.   I'm not running huge cables and I have a ton of compression.

Good connections and a fully charged battery are needed if your running a hot engine.

The cam and timing also play a part.
